PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has partnered with AI startup Harvey to introduce a chatbot service for its lawyers, as part of a drive to increase productivity. Over 4,000 PwC lawyers in more than 100 countries will have access to the technology, which is designed to accelerate work in areas including regulatory compliance, due diligence and legal consulting.
The company is also exploring ways to use the service for its tax practice. Other professional services companies are also trialling AI to speed up tasks, with Allen & Overy recently introducing a chatbot to help lawyers draft contracts and client memos.
