Dubai’s upcoming Ciel hotel, expected to open in Q1 of 2024, will become the tallest hotel in the world. The property’s developers, The First Group, have revealed that it is their largest and most complex development to date, spanning 82 storeys. Currently, the structure is 99% complete, with MEP, first and second fix work at 80% completion across basement, podium floors, and storey levels. Other key updates include the completion of building façade brackets up to the 72nd floor and curtain wall installation up to the 70th floor.
NORR, the hotel’s architectural partner, has designed key features such as an observation deck with panoramic views on the 81st floor, a rooftop infinity pool and bar on the 76th floor, and a 300m tall interior atrium with landscaped and naturally ventilated terraces. Despite the pandemic’s challenges, The First Group’s CEO Rob Burns has expressed excitement over bringing Ciel to Dubai’s skyline and is confident about the property’s official launch in 2024.
