Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a luxury hotel in the United Arab Emirates, is set to complete its commitment to eliminate all plastic items, including water bottles and toiletries, by March 2023. To achieve this goal, the hotel will open a water-from-air bottling plant that will use advanced technology to produce water from the air. The plant will utilize an Atmospheric Water Generator developed by Eshara Water, which will produce 4,000 liters of water per day.
The water will be filtered, mineralized, and filled into reusable, encapsulated glass bottles for use across the hotel’s 367 rooms, suites, villas, and restaurants. The initiative aligns with the hotel’s aim to create a greener and more sustainable environment for the hospitality industry.
