2023 Ramadan Working Hours Announced for Employees in Saudi Arabia: 5-hour workday during holy month

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia has announced the official working hours for employees during the 2023 Ramadan season. According to the Ministry, working hours should not exceed five hours, with recommended office hours set from 10am to 3pm throughout the month. However, government agencies have been given some flexibility to adjust their schedules based on work requirements, with a two-hour window provided for earlier or later start times.

Any government organizations seeking to deviate from the 10am to 3pm guidelines must inform employees of expected Ramadan working hours by March 19, as stipulated by the Ministry’s regulations. In related news, the UAE has also announced its Ramadan working hours for government employees.
