DMCC, the Government of Dubai Authority responsible for commodities trade and enterprise as well as being a flagship free zone, has unveiled prototypes of a new series of gold and silver bullion coins commemorating the UAE’s achievements over the last 50 years. These coins, featuring various designs such as Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, will be available for purchase after Ramadan. This announcement was made during the 2022 Dubai Precious Metals Conference, following a partnership with Czech Mint, the official supplier of currency coins to the Czech Republic’s central bank.

The unveiling of these coins highlights DMCC’s role in supporting the global landscape of gold and precious metals trade, which will be further developed and showcased in the upcoming annual Dubai Precious Metals Conference later this year. Additionally, DMCC plans to produce previous editions of their popular gold coins in collaboration with Czech Mint.

Throughout 2022, DMCC has signed various agreements to support the gold industry in the Middle East, such as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FinMet to expand DGCX’s gold product offerings and market participation, and partnerships with Comtech Gold and SafeGold to offer physical gold-backed digital assets. Furthermore, DMCC has also supported the second edition of the Jewellery Gem and Technology Dubai B2B trade show.
