Dubai is becoming an increasingly popular destination for creatives seeking to develop their business ideas. The city has launched a range of initiatives under the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy to provide an environment conducive to business growth for artists, designers, and performers. The Al Quoz Creative Zone is a key component of this initiative, providing a comprehensive industry ecosystem to support creative enterprises. By 2026, the plan is to double the number of creative companies in Dubai from 8,300 to 15,000 and increase creative jobs from 70,000 to 140,000, with the aim of raising the contribution of creative industries to Dubai’s GDP from 2.6% to 5%.

The “Creatives’ Journey” is an online platform to accelerate business setup and simplify the establishment and operation of creative ventures in the city, catering to six main sectors and providing four types of licenses. Dubai Culture has also offered long-term cultural visas to help creative entrepreneurs and professionals set up a long-term base in the emirate, positioning it as a hub for talent.
