The opening of the first three resorts at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea has been postponed from May 2023 to the end of the year. Six Senses Southern Dunes from IHG will be the first to open in the next few months, while Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and St. Regis The Red Sea from Marriott have been delayed. Abdullah AlZahrani, executive director of global brand development and marketing at Red Sea Global, confirmed the changes. Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, will offer guests a sustainable and luxurious experience with a modular structure called the Oasis. Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and St. Regis The Red Sea are located on Ummahat Islands and a private island, respectively.

The Red Sea Project, one of the key projects of the Saudi Vision 2030, will have 16 hotels and 3,000 keys by 2024, with its own water bottling facility and renewable energy plant.
