Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai Appoints New Director of Engineering

The Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has appointed Ahsan Ali Khan as its new Director of Engineering. Ahsan brings over 17 years of outstanding experience in the hospitality industry. Ahsan’s previous employment was with Radisson Blu Hotel where he held the role of Cluster Chief Engineer and prior to this he worked with international chains such as Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Accor, Sheraton and Radisson hotels.

Mr. Simon Moore, General Manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, said “We are delighted to welcome Ahsan as a key member of our team. He will be responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel including energy conservation. Dubai, UAE (3rd Feb 2020) – Millennium Hotels & Resorts Middle East has been ranked first in terms of current and upcoming Middle East room supply, ahead of 16 competing brands and operators, according to a recent study by Smith Travel Research (STR).

The hospitality company has 11,186 keys in supply and 7,251 pipelined under the Millennium Hotels & Resorts brand in the region, the October 2019 STR report revelead.

To cater to every segment of the travel market, Millennium Hotels and Resorts MEA opened 11 properties under a diverse range of brands in 2019, introducing new modern and tech-enabled concepts such as Studio M, Millennium Place and Millennium Central in the region. 

With a robust expansion strategy targeting more than 15,000 new keys in the Middle East within the next three years, the region’s largest growth market, Saudi Arabia, has become a development focal point, with the group on track to operate 25 hotels in the kingdom by 2025.

The Middle East witnessed a 10% increase in total international tourist arrivals in 2019 and key destinations such as Dubai, where Millennium Hotels and Resorts has a strong presence, ranked as the 4th most-visited city and 5th most popular leisure destination globally, according to the STR report and Dubai Tourism data.

Swiss-Belhotel International is all set to open four new hotels in the GCC during the first half of 2020. Mr. Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International, and Mr. Laurent A. LEVA Hotels & Resorts Enters into an Agreement with Golden Group Holding to Manage Two Properties in Oman

LEVA Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with the Golden Group Holding to manage two superb hotels in Muscat. It marks the debut of LEVA Hotels & Resorts in Oman. While the 85-room Safeer Continental Hotel will be reflagged as a 4-star LEVA Hotel, the 61-keys Safeer Plaza Suites will be operated under LEVA’s 3-star EKONO brand.

Making the announcement, Sheikh Salim bin Ahmed Al Ghazali, Chairman, Golden Group Holding, stated, “We are delighted to welcome the LEVA and EKONO brands to Oman and believe these are the perfect fit for our properties.
