The Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai recently conducted free medical and dental checkup for its hotel colleagues in collaboration with a polyclinic. Organised by the hotel’s human resources team, the medical examination included check-ups by a general practitioner ranging from vital signs monitoring to height, weight, BMI, diabetes and cholesterol measurement, as well as dental consultation.

Mr. Simon Moore, General Manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, said, “The health and well-being of our colleagues is our greatest priority. We are committed to conduct more such initiatives that are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle while raising awareness about some common illness. Prevention is better than cure and early detection of an illness can lower the risk of complications.”

More than 50 hotel colleagues were screened on the day at the medial camp which was happened on 18th September 2019 from 10:00am – 4:00pm . The doctors also shared important tips for boosting health and fitness.

Mimecast challenges GITEX visitors to step up and defeat Human Error

Mimecast has launched a new initiative to help GITEX visitors improve the cybersecurity awareness of their employees.

As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, Mimecast is re-creating scenes from its training videos, and inviting visitors to co-star alongside IT security’s arch-nemesis, Human Error.

Jeff Ogden, GM, Mimecast Middle East & India, commented: “This year Mimecast is focussed on education around cyber resilience, supporting the UAE’s national cybersecurity strategy and tapping into the regional need for stronger consumer awareness of basic cybersecurity hygiene. However, the results were not always consistent despite the availability of great devices and all the essential ingredients and skills. I was trying to find the solution to enable everyone out there to create a consistent cup of coffee with extraordinary brew characteristics and the GEM Series Porcelain Dripper seems to be the perfect answer”.

He went on to add that the fundamental solution to this issue addressed by the GEM Series design is the lid placed atop the brewer with a hole that naturally restricts the hot water pouring radius. This results in a more consistent bloom phase and more even contact time through the brew cycle, while minimizing the common human error of imprecise pouring. The brewer’s lid also gives the device its diamond shape, a style point reinforced with the GEM Series name.

Additionally, a system of vertical and horizontal ribs on the brewer’s inner walls are designed to prevent solids from clumping at the bottom of the brew bed, while allowing water to flow consistently by separating the included paper filter from the inner walls.

HITEC Dubai 2019 Announced
